Legal notice

Professional and educational use

Just Counseling Things provides educational and professional resources only. Content does not constitute medical, mental-health, legal, diagnostic, supervisory, or other professional advice and does not create a counselor-client, supervisor-supervisee, attorney-client, or other professional relationship. Resources are not a substitute for independent clinical judgment, appropriate training, consultation, supervision, or compliance with applicable laws, ethical rules, and licensing-board requirements. Users are responsible for evaluating each resource's suitability for their clients, population, setting, and jurisdiction.

No emergency or crisis services

This website is not monitored for emergencies and does not provide crisis services. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

No client information or protected health information

Do not upload, email, enter, or store client names, records, protected health information, or confidential client information through this website, seller portal, customer-support channels, or the Filing Cabinet. Buyers and sellers are responsible for complying with confidentiality, privacy, recordkeeping, and security duties that apply to their practices.

Marketplace resources and seller responsibility

Resources may be created by independent sellers. A seller is responsible for the accuracy, legality, originality, permissions, and professional appropriateness of that seller's content. Just Counseling Things does not independently verify every clinical statement, license, permission, or claim. Sellers represent that they own or have obtained all rights necessary to list and distribute their content and that their listings do not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights. Just Counseling Things may remove content or suspend accounts when concerns arise. Buyers remain responsible for reviewing resources before professional or client use.

Digital resource license

Unless a listing expressly provides different terms, a digital purchase grants the purchaser a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license for the purchaser's own professional or personal use. A purchaser may print or share client-facing pages with that purchaser's own clients when the resource is designed for that purpose. A purchaser may not resell, sublicense, publicly post, upload to a shared drive or database, distribute source files, share account credentials, or claim a resource as the purchaser's own work. Practice-wide, agency, classroom, or institutional use requires an appropriate multi-user license or written permission. Subscription access does not transfer ownership of the library or its files.

Affiliate disclosure

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Some links on Just Counseling Things are paid or affiliate links. If you purchase through one of those links, Just Counseling Things may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Recommendations reflect our honest opinions; affiliate relationships do not guarantee that a product is appropriate for every person or setting.

Continuing education

Continuing-education programs linked or promoted by Just Counseling Things are provided through PESI, an accredited continuing-education provider. PESI—not Just Counseling Things—administers the program, awards credit, supplies completion documentation, and states the applicable approvals, professions, jurisdictions, credit hours, and completion requirements for each offering. Licensing-board acceptance can vary by profession and jurisdiction, so participants remain responsible for reviewing the specific PESI course details and confirming acceptance with their own licensing board before purchasing or registering.
