We all know that when we are experiencing feelings of overwhelm our brain has difficulty accessing information to help us cope with those same feelings. For individuals with ADHD or other executive functioning challenges this is even more difficult.

This printable worksheet was designed to help the neurodivergent brain to properly organize thoughts and give them a place to live to reduce the likelihood of rumination and intrusive thoughts. Specifically with the ADHD brain, there is a tendency to ruminate over tasks/thoughts for the sheer fact of fear of forgetting. Providing a physical space to organize these thoughts helps reduce that fear, therefore lessening intrusive and ruminating thoughts.

Encouraging clients to utilize this worksheet at night before bed may improve sleep quality and may improve daily functioning. This thought organization helps give clients the skills and systems that they may struggle to develop themselves due to time blindness, masking, and organization difficulties that are common with executive dysfunction and the neurodivergent brain. 

This worksheet can be printed and distributed to clients for use in sessions, as homework, or as an independent resource.
